    Flaunt Beauty Pallet

    Women have long been told that if you’ve got it, flaunt it! Well, cosmetic company Flaunt Beauty has introduced a line of cosmetics that fully captures the beauty in being a woman. Flaunt is distributed by the ICING; a branch off the teen retail giant Claire’s that sells products from cosmetics to jewelry and accessories. The beauty company has fully embraced the feminine beauty of the curvy 1940-50’s pin up girl in their line of cosmetics. Part of the appeal of a pin up girl is a mixture of confidence and raw feminine beauty she exudes. Clearly, the creator of these products designed them for woman to feel beautiful, sexy, and appealing. Some may feel that the message the product design sends is too mature for teenage girls. I, however, feel the products send the message of female empowerment and acceptance of the natural curves of a woman’s body. With products ranging from perfume, to lip gloss, nail polish, and eye shadows this company certainly has some bold feminine packaging.

    Flaunt Perfume

    Some of my favorite products consist of the eye pallets, the “A Kiss in a tin” lip balm, and the signature perfumes. The eye shadow pallets have a flip open top to reveal four sparkling shadows complete with applicator and built in mirror. Each pallet is also designed with a pin up girl printed on the cover, against a bold colored background. Flaunt’s “A Kiss in a tin” is also cleverly designed so the tin is shaped like a pair of kissing lips. On their webpage they pair the lip product with the marketing phrase, “Luscious lip balm that hydrates and revitalizes for kissable lips.”  The signature perfume also has a feminine bottle with intricate gold design and flirty French phrases printed around the neck of the bottle. The webpage also uses the phrase, “Leave him with something to remember, the scent of confidence and appeal,” to market the product.
