If you are a young and confident person then I found a line of hair care products that is perfect for you. The young company, Not Your Mother’s (NYM), was created for youthful and daring woman looking for hair care products to match their personality. The company’s motto encourages woman to be who they are and not be afraid to stand out in a crowd. In fact, “Don’t follow others, make your own statement,” is part of the company’s inspirational About Us section found on their webpage. Starting this month, all NYM products can be found at your local Wal-Mart nationwide.

The packaging along with the buyer’s accessibility is what first attracted me to this product. Each bottle has a pure white background with images of brightly colored hair sprouting from the top. The type of hair product also coincides with the type of hair on the graphic: for example the curl defining hair cream has an image of purple curly locks, and the silky smooth shine mist has pin straight yellow hair. The title fonts of the products also match the brightly colored hair images and the names are certainly made for fun and confident women. My favorite names include “All Eyes on Me Shape and Shine Hairspray,” “She’s a Tease Volumizing Hairspray,” and “Girl Powder Volumizing Hair Powder!” In addition, NYM hair care products have been featured in several popular magazines such as Life & Style, Shape, and Teen Vogue.
