Jones Soda has been a popular soda company since it was founded in Seattle, WA back in 1987. What can you expect from a bottle of their soda? Each glass bottle is crafted with a black and white photography inspired label, and screw off top with a fortune written on the inside of the cap. Inside you will find a rich, bubbly soda made from pure sugar cane as opposed to most other sodas today that are made with high fructose corn syrup. All photos and fortunes are submitted by customers through their company website database, and are used on the bottle labels. They have typical soda flavors such as cream, cherry cola, and lemon line, but they also have some quite wacky flavors. Among the most wild names/ flavors include fufu berry, blue bubble gum, and chocolate fudge! Limited time holiday flavors and matching labels were also released such as caramel apple and candy corn soda for Halloween, and the Turkey & Gravy collection with flavors including green bean casserole and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving.
Jones Soda has most recently joined forced with the American satirical news source, The Onion, to create a sarcastic line of limited edition soda labels. The flavors in the line include strawberry lime, root beer, and green apple soda and have Onion inspired titles. A few of the best label quotes include, “Novelist Strike Fails to Affect Nation Whatsoever,” “Nation Demands Tax Dollars Only Be Wasted on Stuff that’s Awesome,” and “Work Friend Accidentally Becomes Real Friend.” To buy the limited edition soda, click here!
