Cold brew coffee is a sweet alternative to regular iced coffee, and so is its packaging. Stumptown Coffee Roasters redesigned their cold brew product labels with the help of Seattle-based design studio Column. Their mission was to have a classic, unified look so they can stand out among the saturated coffee market.
With their redesigned logo, the name Stumptown is front and center with a sash going across all of the products. The sash changes color depending on flavor of the cold brew, but the original Cold Brew design is an eye-catching, metallic gold. The redesign is inspired by a combination of elements from the original packaging and painted signs found at Stumptown cafes. The 1970’s inspired logo amplifies nostalgia by tracing back to the roots of the company’s history with bottling Cold Brew coffee. Column incorporated elements from the original bottle while still maintaining the vintage bottle look that consumers of Stumptown know and love.
