Because your label is one of your most effective means of communicating with customers, it is essential that it says the right thing. In the pet product market, there is a major message that many brands want to share with their customers: “our products do not contain ingredients that could harm your pets!” There has been a massive shift in the mindset of consumers in the last few decades. In the past people didn’t necessarily give all that much thought to the ingredients they were consuming and how those ingredients and the processes by which they were produced may affect their health. Now people are regularly demanding ingredient transparency, unprocessed foods, and organic products. This trend towards healthier consumption choices has naturally extended from ourselves to our adored pets. You are likely already doing everything toward creating natural pet products that promote the well-being of animals. Make sure that in the few seconds a customer takes to scan a shelf, your product label demonstrates your values to them!

The material choice of your label is a straightforward method for demonstrating in a split second what kind of brand you are. At Dion we offer a variety of material options that will instantaneously display your natural product identity. We carry two options for post-consumer waste labels, and several textured paper options that people associate with natural brands. We can create natural material looks through our superb digital printing if a stronger material type, such as a film, is required for your product. If you are aiming for a natural look, we also recommend one of our various matte finishes. While gloss finishes can be eye-catching, they also tend to have a more synthetic feel that may not be in alignment with your brand identity.

Single-person start-ups and behemoth brands alike understand the importance of label design in portraying brand identity. Imagery and typography can create emotional and even unconscious responses in customers that can be far more salient than any overt product information could ever be. For natural pet products, there are a plethora of design choices that can help reveal your values. Typically, minimalistic and clean typography and imagery evoke a more natural feel. Neutral colors and earth tones are also a good place to start. Vintage or rustic label design is another trend many companies are using to communicate their natural origins. Whatever design route you decide to take, make sure that you are making the most of those integral first seconds during which most customers make their purchasing choices by designing a label that is appropriate for your brand.

When you choose Dion Label Printing as your print partner, you can rest assured that your printed labels will capture the essence of your brand. We place the utmost importance on printing quality labels. With our intensive color management and quality control procedures, you can feel confident that the label you design to showcase your brand will be printed beautifully for maximum appeal. As part of Inovar Packaging Group, Dion Label Printing is working to creating a world-class enterprise by building an innovative platform to drive sustainable growth and handle the increasingly complex demands of our diverse range of customers. Over the last several years, our parent company Inovar has acquired new facilities at a quick pace, including, most recently: Cimarron Label in Sioux Falls, SD and Amherst Label in Milford, NH. Acquiring is a major part of Inovar’s strategy to grow the company and better serve our customers and our internal teams, and we are concurrently working to expand our capacity, capabilities, and service offerings in other ways. To that end Inovar has recently moved into a newly renovated headquarters building in Dallas, TX. Located just a short distance from Inovar’s previous facility headquarters, the new location was built to showcase the mission of our brand. At triple the size of the last facility, this brand new building with its huge increase in both office and production space will enable us to provide even more solutions and support to our customers. The new facility is not just larger, however. In order to increase our capacity, capabilities, and offerings, and give our customers the highest quality labels and packaging solutions, we’ve added two new flexographic presses and a new digital press. Our Director of Marketing, Ashley Stewart, states, “the additional capacity, services, and embellishment capabilities will greatly increase our ability to meet all the requirements of even the most demanding brands. The team is thrilled to debut the new facility and showcase our capabilities to our existing and future customers.” We also have other expansions in the works. An addition of almost 20,000 additional square feet of production and warehousing space will expand Inovar’s Milwaukee, WI, location, Flexo-Graphics, and its presence in the area. We are excited for the opportunities our growth provides us to continue our rise as a premier label and packaging solution provider. Contact us today and let our growth help fuel yours.
