It’s a new market with incredible possibilities, and you may be wondering how to set your cannabis products apart, not only from other cannabis offerings, but increasingly from products in other markets as well. We have one possible answer to this question: luxe label design! Many companies across a variety of cannabis sub-sectors, from beauty products to vaporizers, are turning toward high-end labels to communicate their brand message and reach a wider audience. We here at Dion love this trend, and in the last several years, more and more companies are getting on board with luxe packaging design—we think this trend has staying power!

By choosing a luxe label design, you as a cannabis brand are doing several things that will help your company succeed. One is separating yourself from certain negative associations of cannabis. The cannabis market is a new frontier, and most customers are looking for a break from the stereotypes of the past. According to Forbes, “design elements like embossed lettering rather than printed text, and stamped gold foil can communicate quality.” Why not take advantage of the nature of high-end packaging and let potential customers know that your product is of the highest caliber before they even try it? Finally, by opting for luxe packaging design, you are taking steps toward differentiating your product on a crowded shelf. Don’t underestimate the power of aesthetic appeal in driving sales!

If you’ve decided a luxe label is the right option for your product, Dion has the tools and skills to help you achieve the high-end look you want. We offer a wide variety of specialty material options, from linen papers to black vellum. A texturized label allows your customers to have another level of experience beyond the visual. Whether you opt for a texturized base material or a specialty finish like grit varnish or embossed elements, adding a tactile element to your packaging design will definitely communicate the uniqueness of your brand. Metallic elements in your label are another a fantastic way to achieve a luxe look as well, and we have all the solutions to get your metallics perfect, from hot stamping to metallic films and inks. We love the gold elements of the Guild Extracts label pictured above. Read more about all of our high decoration options here.

Cannabis brands have unique challenges when it comes to labeling and packaging design, and if you have a great cannabis product, you don’t want it to be overlooked in the mass of competition. Reach out to a label specialist today to discover all the ways we can help you create the luxe label that will give your cannabis product an extra spark on the shelf!

As part of Inovar Packaging Group, Dion Label Printing is working to creating a world-class enterprise by building an innovative platform to drive sustainable growth and handle the increasingly complex demands of our diverse range of customers. Over the last several years, our parent company Inovar has acquired new facilities at a quick pace, including, most recently: Cimarron Label in Sioux Falls, SD and Amherst Label in Milford, NH. Acquiring is a major part of Inovar’s strategy to grow the company and better serve our customers and our internal teams, and we are concurrently working to expand our capacity, capabilities, and service offerings in other ways. To that end Inovar has recently moved into a newly renovated headquarters building in Dallas, TX. Located just a short distance from Inovar’s previous facility headquarters, the new location was built to showcase the mission of our brand. At triple the size of the last facility, this brand new building with its huge increase in both office and production space will enable us to provide even more solutions and support to our customers. The new facility is not just larger, however. In order to increase our capacity, capabilities, and offerings, and give our customers the highest quality labels and packaging solutions, we’ve added two new flexographic presses and a new digital press. Our Director of Marketing, Ashley Stewart, states, “the additional capacity, services, and embellishment capabilities will greatly increase our ability to meet all the requirements of even the most demanding brands. The team is thrilled to debut the new facility and showcase our capabilities to our existing and future customers.” We also have other expansions in the works. An addition of almost 20,000 additional square feet of production and warehousing space will expand Inovar’s Milwaukee, WI, location, Flexo-Graphics, and its presence in the area. We are excited for the opportunities our growth provides us to continue our rise as a premier label and packaging solution provider. Contact us today and let our growth help fuel yours.
