Across so many product markets, from personal care to specialty food and beverage, competition is fierce. Every brand is looking for that something extra that will distinguish them from others. Not to mention that with internet retail and the endless number of choices now at potential customers’ fingertips, grabbing the attention of a buyer is more difficult than ever. If you think that your packaging choices don’t matter, think again. Not only do your packaging choices help to differentiate your brand, they also can create lasting brand recognition and serve as a marketing tool, especially if your packaging is unique. However, when you select unique containers, labeling becomes a bit more difficult. One of the greatest features of shrink sleeves is that they solve the difficulties that can arise from trying to label a product container that is specially shaped.

Go Where a Label Cannot

Shrink sleeves are designed to hug the contours of any packaging, regardless of its shape. Different from a label, there is no adhesive on shrink sleeves and they are shrunk to a container using heat or steam. If your product container has unusual curves or tapered sides, finding a label that adheres properly can be a challenge. It may require special tooling, and if it has rounded features or isn’t symmetrical, it may be very difficult to find an appropriate traditional label that is economically reasonable. Shrink sleeves resolve this problem beautifully. With our prepress team’s skill in reshaping design elements in proportion to the container dimensions, your brand is free to select containers that will set you apart without worrying about the logistics of labeling them.

Built in Security

Shrink sleeves can do more for your container than simply being esthetically pleasing. They can function as a built in security feature when they extend over the cap of the container. Achieving a tamper seal with a label is possible but shrink sleeves with a built in tamper have a sleek, streamline appearance. When speaking with your label solutions specialist, let them know that you want the shrink sleeve to extend over the cap of your container and we will recommend the proper perforation to ensure the top of the sleeve can be removed for use while ensuring the remainder of the sleeve stays enact.

Bonus Packs

Often times, brands offer products in a 2-pack and require them to be packaged together. Shrink sleeves are an excellent option for this situation as they will conform nicely to the unique shape of the 2-pack and ensure a snug hold. Add some fun 2-pack printed graphics on that shrink sleeve for optimal shelf impact!

As part of Inovar Packaging Group, Dion Label Printing is working to creating a world-class enterprise by building an innovative platform to drive sustainable growth and handle the increasingly complex demands of our diverse range of customers. Over the last several years, our parent company Inovar has acquired new facilities at a quick pace, including, most recently: Cimarron Label in Sioux Falls, SD and Amherst Label in Milford, NH. Acquiring is a major part of Inovar’s strategy to grow the company and better serve our customers and our internal teams, and we are concurrently working to expand our capacity, capabilities, and service offerings in other ways. To that end Inovar has recently moved into a newly renovated headquarters building in Dallas, TX. Located just a short distance from Inovar’s previous facility headquarters, the new location was built to showcase the mission of our brand. At triple the size of the last facility, this brand new building with its huge increase in both office and production space will enable us to provide even more solutions and support to our customers. The new facility is not just larger, however. In order to increase our capacity, capabilities, and offerings, and give our customers the highest quality labels and packaging solutions, we’ve added two new flexographic presses and a new digital press. Our Director of Marketing, Ashley Stewart, states, “the additional capacity, services, and embellishment capabilities will greatly increase our ability to meet all the requirements of even the most demanding brands. The team is thrilled to debut the new facility and showcase our capabilities to our existing and future customers.” We also have other expansions in the works. An addition of almost 20,000 additional square feet of production and warehousing space will expand Inovar’s Milwaukee, WI, location, Flexo-Graphics, and its presence in the area. We are excited for the opportunities our growth provides us to continue our rise as a premier label and packaging solution provider. Contact us today and let our growth help fuel yours.
